Good Clinical Practice (GCP); Why Do It?

As a researcher involved in clinical research, it is an absolute requirement for you to be familiar with good clinical practice principles. Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is an international standard for the design, conduct, performance, monitoring, auditing, recording, analyses, and reporting of clinical trials. The goal of GCP is to ensure the protection of the rights, integrity, and confidentiality of clinical trial participants and to ensure the credibility and accuracy of data and reported results.

As CREAMS we absolutely value the importance of being trained in good clinical practice as you prepare to delve into clinical research as a participant, study nurse, study coordinator or principal investigator.

Between October 16 and 17th, 2023, CREAMS organized its second GCP training in the City of Lilongwe, following a successful first training held in the year 2022 in the City of Blantyre. Our last year training attracted researchers from Kamuzu central Hospital, Deayang Luke mission hospital, St. Gabriel Mission Hospital and others. The training was Delivered Sibusiso from LT clinical Research in South Africa (https://ltclinicalresearch.co.za/). As CRO involved in a lot of clinical trials in South Africa, LT clinical research presented real time experiences that made the training lively and interesting.
